OUR FRATERNITY AND ITS ROOTS

Founded in 1913, AEPi now exists in Australia, Austria, Canada, England, France, Israel, and the USA. Our basic purpose is not specifically religious, but rather social and cultural in nature. We help brothers cultivate their character, learn responsibility, and develop a proper set of values through engaging with each other as a brotherhood.

Our brothers are active on campus, leading every Jewish and Israel-focused organization and shaping Rowan University culture through the Student Government Association, Inter-Greek Council, Inter-Fraternity Council, university clubs, sports, campus jobs, and more.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why should I join AEΠ?

Our brotherhood is a phenomenal support system of students who share their college experience. We guide each other academically, give back to the community, and participate in a number of brotherhood activities. AEΠ is for students looking to widen their social circle and grow as men.

Will joining AEΠ hurt my grades?

School always comes first. Through study hours and peer tutoring, our brothers form a strong academic support system. Additionally, the time we ask each member to commit to the fraternity is not overwhelming. Brothers learn how to manage their time.

What is rush?

Rush is the recruitment process in the beginning of each semester when prospective new members have the opportunity to make connections with brothers in a variety of settings and events sponsored by AEPi. Rush is a time for you to get acquainted with the fraternity and the fraternity to get to know you.

What is the process to become a brother?

Once invitations to join are extended and accepted, the new members undergo a new member education program. The program is designed to provide each new member with all the tools they will need to become strong brothers, while at the same time setting the tone for the next phase in chapter membership and leadership. We aim to educate the new members about the meanings & values of Alpha Epsilon Pi while bonding the members within themselves and the brotherhood.

Should I be worried about hazing?

Absolutely not. Alpha Epsilon Pi, Rowan University, and the Gamma Upsilon chapter have a zero tolerance policy against hazing.

I'm worried that joining a fraternity is too expensive. What are dues like?

Joining a fraternity does require a financial commitment, however, we as a fraternity will do our best to work with you to help you be an active member. The fraternity has certain mechanisms in place such as payment plans and scholarships to alleviate the financial burden, if necessary.
